Recycled Polymers and Their Composites: Processing, Properties and Applications provides a comprehensive exploration of the entire lifecycle of these materials, that are utilized in a broad range of different applications. Beginning with a brief introduction to fundamental principles, the book then goes on to address both environmental and sustainability aspects. The material design section (Part 2) covers essential aspects such as fiber selection, polymer matrices, and cutting-edge recycling methods. Subsequent chapters cover recycling techniques, physical, chemical and mechanical characterization methods, properties, simulation techniques and practical insights into various applications. Part three covers economic, social, regulatory and environmental aspects. The book’s multidisciplinary and practical approach will equip the reader (academic and industrial researcher) with a holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities for using these materials in a broad range of applications. It will help the researcher to make informed decisions contributing to and supporting sustainable engineering practices.
