Gao, Guoqiang
Guoqiang Gao's primary research focuses on pantograph arc and electric contact, as well as rail transit high voltage and insulation technology. He won the Sichuan Outstanding Youth Fund (2018), the National Natural Science Foundation of China Outstanding Youth Fund (2019), and was selected into the Sichuan Provincial Talent Program (2020). He's a prolific author of journal papers and currently holds 26 national invention patents. He has won the First Prize of China Railway Science and Technology Progress Award and, the First Prize of Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award, and a Zhan Tianyou Youth Science and Technology Award. He has participated in IEEE standards development activities, and the resulting research has been successfully applied to the world's first 400km/h (CIT400) high-speed inspection vehicles and high-speed test trains (500km/h).

Wu, Guangning
With the goal of ensuring the safe operation of key traction power supply equipment for high-speed railway, Professor Wu has successively presided over and undertaken a number of major scientific research projects, including 10 National Natural Science Foundation projects, among them 1 Outstanding Youth Science Foundation project, 3 Key Fund projects, and more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects such as the National Key R&D Program. Prof. Wu has carried out systematic and in-depth research work on advanced electrical materials for rail transit, state detection of traction power supply equipment, overvoltage and protection of traction power supply systems. His research's results have been applied to high-speed railway between Wuhan and Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai, Harbin and Dalian, and heavy haul railway in Daqin and Shuohuang. He has won several prizes and holds 71 national invention patents. He is an editorial board member for several journals, including High Voltage (Wiley), the Journal of Electronic Science and Technology (Elsevier), and IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, among others, laying a good foundation for China's high-speed rail technology and equipment to go global.

Wei, Wenfu
Wenfu Wei is a Professor at Southwest Jiaotong University, a Senior Member of IEEE, a Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science. He carries out applied research in high-voltage insulation, electrical contact, discharge plasma, advanced electrical materials, and artificial intelligence for automation of power systems. He is the chairman of the IEEE International Standards Working Group, a member of several domestic and foreign academic organizations, a member of the editorial board of journals (the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Magazine, Railway Standard Design, and the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems), and a member of the China Railway Group. He has published 3 academic monographs in Chinese and English, is also a prolific journal author, and holds 30 national invention patents.

Yang, Zefeng
Zefeng Yang's research focus is on the dynamics, arc phenomena, electrical contact, and materials for railway pantograph-catenary systems. He currently holds 18 national invention patents. He won the Ministry of Education's First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019 and the IEEE International Standards Outstanding Contribution Award. In 2021 He is a representative of IEEE international standards (IEEE P2752, P2753, P2771), a member of the Sichuan Rail Transit High Voltage Technology Engineering Center, and a member of the Sichuan Science and Technology Youth Federation. In recent years, he has been involved in the design, and research and development efforts for the pantograph-catenary system for the CR450 high-speed train.
