This book focuses on an approach to teaching writing in the primary school called the 'process approach'. The approach has been recognized internationally as an important method for the teaching of primary writing. Dominic Wyse is Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at Liverpool John Moores University. Prior to this he worked as a language co-ordinator and primary school teacher. He is currently researching children's rights in primary and secondary schools. He is the author of numerous articles and co-editor of the forthcoming book Childhood: A Multi-Professional Perspective.
