This book is to reflect on the achievements and challenges of current poverty-alleviation practices for children in China, in order to understand and clarify the function, intervention strategies and development direction of social work in child poverty-alleviation. Wu Fan is the Chair and Professor of the Department of Social Work and Social Policy at Nankai University in China. She is also a Visiting Scholar at the School of Social Welfare at the University of California, Berkeley. Her professional affiliations include membership in the China Association for Social Work Education, the Family Professional Committee of the China Population Association, and the China Family Sociology Professional Committee. Her primary research interests encompass family policy, population sociology, and social service management and evaluation. In 2011, she was selected for the New Century Talent Support Program by the Ministry of Education of China. In 2022, She was selected as a Young Changjiang Scholar by the Ministry of Education.
