Contextualising core topics in development from infancy to adolescence, Child Development guides students to understand the field as both fully grounded in research and widely applied in everyday life.

This edition has been adapted from Catherine S. Tamis-LeMonda's US-originating textbook Child Development: Context, Culture, and Cascades (2021) and tailored to the teaching and learning needs of the UK and Europe higher education psychology curriculum.
Placing particular emphasis on the influence of context and culture, Child Development unpacks the fundamentals of the subject whilst spurring the reader to explore and understand the many forces behind change in children. With a driving motivation to discover how we can improve the lives of children and families around the world, the authors evaluate the theory and evidence of child development through a critical lens to discern developmental cascades, consequently highlighting the interdependencies among different domains and levels, within and across time.
