What are the challenges and needs of society that schools face? This publication focuses on the transformation of the school towards a learning organization in the society. The authors present the model of school transformation, supporting it with the theory of transformational leadership and a description of contemporary school functions in the individual and social dimensions. Potyrala, Katarzyna
Katarzyna Potyrala, PhD, is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Psychology, Pedagogy and Humanities at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, Poland. She is a specialist in ICT in education, didactic transformation and popularization of knowledge, education for sustainable development and health education as well as the formation in the area of cultural competences of the different groups of stakeholders, and teacher training in the face of social change.
