Akanksha Srivastava, PhD, is an experienced academician, writer, and editor with over 15 years of
experience in the education industry. She is an Associate Professor with the School of Education,
Sharda University, Greater Noida, India. In addition to her work as an editor, she is also an
accomplished author. Her research interests include the intersection of inclusion with a focus on
women’s experiences, on which she has published extensively. As the editor of this volume, Dr.
Srivastava brought together a diverse group of scholars to explore the various themes and topics
related to the history of gender and sexuality in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the USA.

Disha Maheshwari, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the School of Education at Sharda
University, India. She was a Commonwealth Scholar at the Centre for Applied Linguistics,
University of Warwick, Coventry, England. At Sharda University, she teaches courses on gender
studies, communication, and research methodology in education (qualitative) at the undergraduate
and postgraduate levels and on pedagogy at PhD level. She has presented her research work
around the world, including at Cambridge, Stockholm, Hong Kong, Warwick, Oslo (virtual),
Tamil Nadu, Punjab, etc. Her areas of interest are gender and education, discourse and identity, and
higher education pedagogy.

Chitra Krishnan, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Behavioral
Science at the Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Noida, India. She has a number of
publications in acclaimed journals at the national and international levels and has also participated
in many national and international conferences. She is passionate about writing and has seven
books to her credit with international publishers. She has been a member of the review committees
for conferences and journals. Her area of interest includes human resource management,
organizational behavior, talent management, diversity management, employee satisfaction,
knowledge management, artificial intelligence, and emotional intelligence.
