GLENDA SLUGA is the author of a number of studies of the transnational and gender history of nationalism, and of the problem of difference in international history, including and , which has been translated into Swedish and Italian. In 2002 she was awarded the Max Crawford Medal by the Australian Academy of the Humanities for excellence in contributions to the humanities and cultural life.
