The volume contains 10 papers presented at the 26th archaeological conference of Lower Bavaria in 2007, an introduction, a bibliography, and a list of authors. The contributions deal with pit ovens of the Linear Pottery at Stephansposching, distr. Deggendorf, and in general [Pechtl], the Early Bronze Age weapon hoard from Hofkirchen-Unterschöllnach, distr. Passau [Engelhardt, Wandling], new Early Bronze Age hoards in the zone north of the Alps [Möslein], hoards as historical sources [Huth], considerations of tradition, innovation, and legitimation on the basis of Early Bronze Age hoards from Austria [Krenn-Leeb], eastern Bavarian hoards of the Earlier Bronze Age in view of their supra-regional significance [David], rescue excavations in a villa rustica near Teugner Thronhof, distr. Kelheim [Rind], structure and function of fortress vici on the Raetian Danube Limes [Sommer], cemetery and church of the early and earlier Middle Ages at Niedermünchsdorf near Osterhofen, distr.
