African Americans are disproportionately represented in the addictions, criminal justice, and child welfare systems. Mark Sanders, LCSW, CADC, is a lecturer at the University of Chicago, USA. He is an international speaker in the behavioral health field whose presentations have reached thousands throughout the world. Mark is the recipient of the Addictions Professional of the Year Award granted by the Illinois Addictions Counselor Certification Board. He is the author of five books that focus on addictions recovery.
