This book is the first of two volumes collecting together Michael C. Rea's most substantial work in analytic theology. This volume considers the nature of God and our ability to talk and discover truths about God, whereas the companion volume focuses on theological questions about humanity and the human condition. The chapters in the first part of Volume I explore issues pertaining to discourse about God and the authority of scripture. Part two focuses on divine
attributes, while part three discusses doctrine of the trinity and related issues.

Michael C. Rea is Rev. John A. O'Brien Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. He is also a Professorial Fellow at the Logos Institute for Analytic & Exegetical Theology at the University of St Andrews. His research focuses primarily on topics in metaphysics, philosophy of religion, and analytic theology. His publications include Voices from the Edge: Centring Marginalized Perspectives in Analytic Theology (co-edited with Michelle
Panchuk; 2020), The Hiddenness of God (2018), Analytic Theology: New Essays in the Philosophy of Theology (co-edited with Oliver D.
