Hock-Chye Qua specializes in forensic analysis of mechanical, metallurgical, electrical and structural steel components; fracture and fatigue assessment of mechanical/structural steel components; selection of materials to resist fracture, creep, wear and corrosion; ferrous metallurgy and heat treatment; foundry metallurgy, welding metallurgy, inspection and remaining life assessment of power plant ferritic steels. He taught at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Malaysia s until his retirement in 1999.

Dr. Tan Ching Seong received his engineering degree in 1998 at the University of Malaysia. He served as Assistant Professor at the University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) from 2008-2011. Today he serves as the Associate Professor at Multimedia University. He is a senior member of IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), member of SPIE (International Society of Optical Engineering) and Chartered Engineer (Institute of Mechanical Engineer, UK).
