It presents the integration of TRIZ with other techniques to solve problems in the Latin America industry. The chapters contain some industrial cases that explain the adoption process of TRIZ. They also describe the restrictions or limits on the use and adoption of TRIZ. This book describes a strategy to apply the TRIZ tools for product or service design. Case studies from different universities and enterprises are presented to facilitate the assimilation of the TRIZ concepts and tools.

About the editor

Guillermo Cortes Robles has a Ph.D. in Industrial Systems from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, France. He is Professor of Engineering Science at the Tecnologico Nacional de Mexico-Instituto Tecnologico de Orizaba, Mexico. His research interests are the application of the TRIZ theory combined with other approaches (e.g., knowledge management, decision support systems, process simulation, creativity techniques, among other technologies) with the aim of accelerating the innovation process. He is President of the Mexican TRIZ association (AMETRIZ).
