This volume publishes the results of a project funded by the German Research Foundation, the aim of which was to gain new information about the early medieval settlement area of Dunum, district of Wittmund. At the centre of the investigations was a burial ground that had already been almost completely excavated in the 1960s and 70s. More than 700 cremation and inhumation graves were uncovered, which have so far only been analysed and published in part. This volume fulfils the resulting desideratum. It contains the results of extensive and detailed investigations in catalogue form, which Christina Peek carried out on the graves of Dunum between 2014 and 2020. The scope of the resulting documentation makes it necessary to divide the publication into three volumes; this volume describing tombs 0 to 350 is therefore the beginning of a trilogy. Volumes 2 and 3 are currently being prepared for printing and will be published soon. The research concept also included anthropological analyses carried out by Silke Grefen-Peters; the data collected are part of the catalogue. The final evaluation of the results of the anthropological investigations of all the skeletal remains and cremated remains preserved in the cemetery will also be presented in this volume.
