The developments of digital communication practices in the churches were by no means first triggered by the Corona pandemic. But they have been considerably expanded and dynamised by these experiences as well as by technological advances in recent years. It has become obvious that a broad spectrum of individual search movements is reflected in religious digital practice. This poses fundamental challenges to a transformative religious and churchly practice in a culture of digitality.
