Thomas Nashe (1567-1600?), Flugblattschreiber, Dichter, Dramatiker, war der Schöpfer des ersten englischen Schelmenromans „The Unfortunate Traveller, or, The Life of Jack Wilton“ (1594). Er war ein außerordentlicher Erfinder von Wortneubildungen, sein Stil ist gekenn-zeichnet vom „Euphuismus“. Die Konkordanz erfaßt bis auf „Dido, Queen of Carthage“ jeden Titel aus „The Works of Thomas Nashe“ in der Ausgabe von Thomas B. McKerrow.

Thomas Nashe (1567-1600?), pamphleteer, poet, dramatist, was also the creator of the first picaresque novel in English, “The unfortunate traveller, or, the life of Jack Wilton” (1594). He was the first of those English prose eccentrics, an extraordinary inventor of verbal hybrids, his style marked by euphuism.
The Nashe Concordance follows the structure of L. Ule's earlier concordances. Each text is reproduced in full, followed immediately by an index to every word in the text, followed next by a frequency ranked vocabulary list and text statistics.
The present concordance should prove especially useful because of Nashe's wide ranging vocabulary. Many of the words he uses are not found in the "Oxford English Dictionary", and it is helpful to be able to locate several passages where such words occur.
