The two-volume Oxford Encyclopedia of Biblical Interpretation (OEBI) will fill a crucial need in the field of biblical studies by providing detailed, comprehensive treatments of the latest approaches to and methods for interpretation of the Bible written by expert practitioners. It will also feature a topical outline of contents and an extensive index.

Über Autor(innen)

Editor-in-Chief Steven L. McKenzie is Professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament at Rhodes College. He is the author of a number of books and articles dealing with biblical interpretation including the OUP titles King David: A Biography (2000) and How to Read the Bible (2005), as well as All God's Children: A Biblical Critique of Racism (Westminster John Knox, 1997), Covenant (Chalice, 2000), and Introduction to the Historical Books (Eerdmans, 2010). He wrote the notes
for 1-2 Samuel in the NOAB (3rd and 4th eds.) and for 1-2 Samuel and 1-2 Kings in OUP's Access Bible. He has served on the editorial boards of Catholic Biblical Quarterly and Journal of Biblical Literature and is currently associate editor of Vetus Testamentum.
