Eva Jordans has been an executive company director, a professional consultant, and a management trainer in both the public and private sectors. She has over 25 years of experience supporting leadership and institutional development in Asia, Africa and Europe. She has a track record in international project management, global leadership development and executive directorship. She currently works as an independent management consultant supporting development programs across Africa and Asia.Dr. Bettina Ng ’weno is Associate Professor of African American and African Studies at the University of California, Davis, USA. Trained as an anthropologist she works on issues of space, property, race and ethnicity, social justice, citizenship and states within Latin America and Africa. She authored the book Turf Wars: Territory and Citizenship in the Contemporary State (2007) and is currently the co-director of the Mellon research initiative Reimagining Indian Ocean Worlds. Dr. Helen Spencer-Oatey is Professor at the University of Warwick, UK. She works on issues of communicating and relating across social groups. Her books, both monographs and edited collections, include Culturally Speaking (2000/2008); Handbook of Intercultural Communication (2008, with Helga Kotthoff); Intercultural Interaction (2009, with Peter Franklin); and Intercultural Politeness (forthcoming, with Daniel Kádár).
