Shahidul Islam, M.D., Ph.D. is a Senior Consultant Physician at the Department of Emergency Care and Internal Medicine in the Uppsala University Hospital, Uppsala, Sweden; and an Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Science and Research, Södersjukhuset, in the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden.
