The work is a reaction to the increasing globalization of all economic and legal activities, which also has an impact on German procurement law. This book is intended to assist all those who either have to deal with German procurement law abroad or who have to advise foreign clients or customers on issues related to procurement law. It is, therefore, not only probably the first complete translation of the most important German procurement regulations and provisions into English, but the translation is preceded by a systematic text, in which the connections, the terms and the sequence of events in a typical award procedure are explained. Emphasis has been placed on practicality and on en-suring that this overview is comprehensible. The status of current legislation has been taken into account until January 2001.
