She is Co-Director of theUCSC Center for Mediterranean Studies, and Co-Director of the UCMulticampus Research Project in Mediterranean Studies. Herpublications include Medieval Boundaries: Rethinking Differencein Old French Literature (2006).
Peregrine Horden is Professor of Medieval History atRoyal Holloway, University of London. He is co-author, withNicholas Purcell, of The Corrupting Sea (2000), and authorof Hospitals and Healing from Antiquity to the Later MiddleAges (2008).
