Scheibner, James
James Scheibner is a PhD candidate and research assistant at the University of Tasmania, Hobart, Australia. Prior to commencing his candidature, James worked as a legal assistant and computer programmer at two Hobart law firms, and a clerk for a Hobart chamber of barristers. At the same time during working, James also completed a combined Bachelor of Computing and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Tasmania. James has co-authored articles on patent and copyright law, property law and law and economics, and has presented at international conferences on law and economics and intellectual property law. James updated the sections on intellectual property, Chapter 1, General Background of the Country; Chapter 1, Concepts and Sources of Commercial Law; Chapter 3, Economic Institutions; Chapter 7, Negotiable Instruments; and Chapter 10, Commercial Securities.
