Über Autor(innen)

Joseph Fleckenstein graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BS degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in electrical engineering. Post-graduation he completed over 31 courses in a variety of subjects including graduate level courses at the University of Wisconsin and Penn State University. He has been a registered professional engineer for over 30 years and has been involved in a variety of roles. While serving as a lieutenant in the US Army he was selected for 31 weeks of advanced Army officer training and subsequently served as a platoon commander overseas. He is moderately proficient in French and German. Throughout his career as an engineer, he has written a number of technical documents including technical papers, specifications, system descriptions and online courses for registered professional engineers. Because of his varied experience he is especially capable of writing on subjects of a mechanical or electrical nature. Electrical power and automatic controls, particularly applicable to fossil and nuclear power generating plants, have long been his specialties
