The analysis of the biblical stories of the brothers Rudolph Christoph Lossius and Kaspar Friedrich Lossius is an important contribution to research on children's Bibles, as it examines them in an historical context. The examined works are Enlightenment texts, written for children aged 8-12. These books were not only intended to teach children about the Bible; they were also meant to entertain. Children were educated in a holistic sense, and education was treated as an integral part of meaningful recreation.
