Comerford, Brendan
Brendan Comerford SJ has studied philosophy at the Milltown Institute of Philosophy and Theology, Dublin; theology at the Gregorian University, Rome and spirituality at the Weston School of Theology, Cambridge, Mass. U.S.A. A former novice master, he lectures in the history of Christian spirituality and is an experienced spiritual director. Previous titles with Messenger Publications include The Pilgrim’s Story – the Life and Spirituality of St Ignatius Loyola (2017).
Since his ordination Brendan Comerford SJ has been Rector of Coláiste Iognáid, Galway, and Novice Master in the joint Irish/British novitiate in Birmingham. Subsequently, he spent several years on the staff of Manresa, the Jesuit Centre of Spirituality in Dublin, where he also carried out research in the history of Christian spirituality. At present he is Rector of Gonzaga College, Dublin, where he continues his research and writing.
