This book aims to identify what components are needed for economic diplomacy in today’s rapidly changing world, looking at the nature, focus and tenets of economic diplomacy, and the differences between economic diplomacy and commercial diplomacy. Further, it considers the new kind of diplomacy that will be required for emerging markets, in contrast to maintaining the traditional techniques used for economic diplomacy between states. (Cambridge), LL.M., Ph.D. (London), Barrister, is an Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London. He has published books and articles on a variety of topics including diplomacy, private foreign investments, dispute settlement, banking, import–export trade, and public international law.
