Paul Amrod absolvierte seine musikalische Grundausbildung an der renommierten Juillard School. Nach einigen Jahren in der New Yorker Jazz-Szene kehrte er 1980 an seine Alma Mater zurück und erlangte seinen Masterabschluss in Komposition.
1981 startete er eine Europa-Tournee und entschied sich währenddessen, in Deutschland zu bleiben. Amrod führte seine Karriere mit der Solo-Performance „The History of the Jazz Piano“ fort, mit der er in Kaiserslautern, Mainz, Hagen und Saarbrücken auftrat. Von 2002 bis 2014 war er musikalischer Direktor des Theaters in Konstanz.
Paul Amrod received his musical education at the world-renowned Juilliard School. In 1980 after a seven year tour through the New Yorker Jazz scene and as the opening band for such acts as Janis Joplin, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, NRBQ, he returned to Juilliard and closed out with a Masters Degree, majoring in Composition.
He began a tour of Europe in 1981 and decided to stay in Germany. He continued his musical career performing and monitoring a solo performance called "The History of the Jazz Piano". Then as a musical director for various shows in German theaters. He was engaged in Kaiserslautern, Mainz, Hagen and Saarbrücken. In 1992 he resituated in Constance. From 2002 till 2014 he worked as the Musical Director for the theater of Constance. Also in Constance his music was premiered by the Sued West Philharmonic. Also in Cologne and Wuerzburg compositions of Paul's have been performed.
